A couple of years ago I was visiting my daughter in Rochester, NY. I went out flying at a field next to Monroe Community College (I discovered that a group of people fly there on weekends). After a short while I found that my kite had attracted an immature Peregrine Falcon which made two stoops towards the kite; veering off just before hitting it. I've seen immature Peregrines go after leaves and bugs before but never a kite. It was riviting.
