Subject: Announcing Toronto Kitefest 1995

The Toronto Kitefliers, The Mandarin Club of Toronto, and The
Chinese Cultural Center of Toronto are pleased to annouce the first
annual Toronto Kitefest.

This one day festival of kites & culture will be held September
17th, 1995 at Milliken Park in Scarborough, Ontario, from 11am to
4:30pm. The event will be an exciting day of kite flying, displays,
and cultural entertainment geared toward a mass public audience.

Featured kiting activities will include:

- kitemaking and flying contests for children, 
- several rokkaku battles involving sponsors, experienced fliers,
and the general public
- fighter kite demos 
- sport kite team demos
- buggy/traction demos
- Parabeast performances
- and anything else we can muster

Thanks to the co-operation of our corporate sponsors we are able to
invite several exciting guest kitemakers from China and Taiwan.

Anyone may enter the rokkaku battles, though there will be a small
entrance fee for each team. All prceeds from the event go to the
Chinese Cultural Center.
