I find this turn very helpful when the kite has run out of wind and forward momentum. I commonly execute it on the edges, close to the ground, but given the right conditions it can be done anywhere. It is by no means difficult, so give it a try if you haven't already done so. The turn is performed by moving either hand up then down, the idea being to flick the kite and cause it to rotate in a vertical plane about its axis. Flicking the right hand causes the kite to rotate anticlockwise, left hand clockwise. I've never tried this in heavy winds, but in light it's a breeze. Have Fun, Grant (Who was at Bondi and Canberra and had a ball) PS: I've only done 90-180 degree turns, but I'm sure bigger rotations are possible!
