This is a quiz which will provide insight into the AKA Ranking/Qualifying System. The test is for your information only. 1. Are you familiar with the AKA International Sport Kite Rules. (if yes, proceed) 2. Are you familiar with how the modified version of the AKA Ranking/Qualifying System works? (if yes, proceed) The next questions require some math logic, and an understanding of the AKA International Sport Kite Rules. 3. How many contestants within a category event are required before the event must break into two heats? 4. If an event runs two heats, how many contestants qualify to compete in the finals? 5. How many contestants within a category event are required before the event must break into three heats? 6. If an event runs three heats, how many contestants qualify to compete in the finals? The next few questions are a cross between common sense and general knowledge. 7. How many times have the same judging teams judged all the heats within an event category? 8. If number 7 has occured, is it normal at all events? Now that you have some background here are a few word problems. 9. At an event you are competing, there are 33 contestants, you place 4th in a heat. What are your AKA Ranking/Qualifying Points. 10. All things being equal. If everyone in all heats was scored by the same judging panel and every contestant scored equally in each placement in their heat, (ie. 1st - 99.5 in all heats, 2nd - 94 in all heats, etc.) what would be your ranking if you scored 4th in your heat. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
