I enjoy a *Good* debate, but I've become mightily tired of the vitriol that has pervaded these postings of late. I have a hunch that a lot of other rec.kiters might also share that view. Just a hunch, no data to back that statement ;-) I do have a suggestion that I think may help. Many other newsgroups exist in a hierarchy. For example: alt --+ +--- +---binaries --+ | +pictures--+ | | +--discussion | | +--miscellaneous | | +--erotica | | +-- etc. etc. | | etc. etc. So you can subscribe to "alt.binaries.pictures.miscellaneous" for example. Why not create a newsgroup for discussion of AKA matters - rec.kites.AKA - to discuss purely AKA administrivia, such as Rules, Administration, Events etc etc. rec.kites would then return to (what I think is) its original purpose which is to discuss KITES in an international forum. (By the way, Frank. I'm not sure if someone else has already let you know, but IMHO means "In My Humble Opinion", FWIW means "For What It's Worth". There are others that escape me for the moment, but many of them are IOTTMCO - "Intuitively Obvious To The Most Casual Observer".) fwiw Cheers, BigAl (savage@aladin.meo.dec.com) My opinions are my own, just as yours are yours. There is no Law of Nature that dictates our opinions should be the same. Why, therefore, should we be upset if they differ? = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
