There is the Air Master Vanishing Point a SUL Bad Boy that weighs in at 4.2oz and flys indoors with very little effort. The high end on the kite is comfortabley into about 5-7MPH and still stable. The kite should retail for about $250 ish but you should check with your local retailer for more precise information. Try Becky's Performance Kites or BFK for our full line of Kites. Peter and I have just finished discussing a limited edition kite known as the Vanishing Point "GOLD".. this is framed with the new SkyShark Response Zero Gold spars.... The kite will wiegh in at 3.8oz or so and will be equally as durable as the original Vanishing Point. The kite will be limited edition due to the ridiculously expensive cost of the GOLD spars. For specific information on the VP Gold... Call Air Master Directly at (408)477-0414. Tell Peter that you heard about it from me . Thanks for asking Jason = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Tue, 7 Nov 1995 05:14:26 -1000 From: JBENEDICT@lex.lawnet.fordham.edu (Jason Benedict) Message-Id: <951107101426.21209fe8@LAW.FORDHAM.EDU> Organization: Harvard University Office of Information Technology Subject: Air Master Bad Boy SUL > I have heard rumors that there is a super ultrlight bad boy >in the works, does anyone have any information on this kite, when it will >be out, how much will it cost, any info at all will be helpful. As you know, this is my first Airmaster kite and I am very impressed with the workmanship and quality that Peter has built into this kite. A few of us tried to fly the kite indoors on very short lines,(10ft.) and had some difficulty. What length do you fly indoors on? How do keep the bridle set? It seemed to me that the kite needed more lift, and I was unsure of which part of the bridle I should mess with. Please send me your ideas on top-haul, and out-haul lengths. Keep in mind that I like a little oversteer. I think I might upgrade to the "gold" spars, but I am unfamiliar with the new rods. Any info would be appreciated. I can't wait to get this puppy outside for a real workout. This may replace my X-1 as my preferred ultralight.
