I have a small delta stunt kite that I have exhausted for tricks and am tired of needing 12+ winds! I have heard a bit about the North shore Extreme and the Revolution I...comments? Prices? Better ideas? Where to buy? I flew it and ordered me one..Very nice flying radical kite and its sturdy enough that i wasn't worrying about smashing it. It flys solid in light winds, has a trailing edge spectra line so its absolutely quiet and a neat antifoul line that streaches between wing tips to avoid wing rap. It does all of the stalls, kills, axels, turtles, etc. with ease (although I have to admit *I* don't do them with ease). This kite gets my highest recommendation for the price.. $139US at BFK. dick barnes coupeville wa = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = From: Date: Tue, 11 Jul 1995 03:23:15 -1000 From: KITEJAG <@pa.mother.com> Message-Id: <3ttu03$7r2@pa.mother.com> Organization: Mother.COM Subject: Re: Advice about radical kites? If you're looking for the ultimate in radical I know of nothing better than the Stranger...and the price is most unbelieveable. he stranger never win a precission event, but is plain and simple the funnest kite I got in my bag when I really want to amaze even me. It kinda invents tricks for you and when you come up with an upside down, sideways half inverted triple axel just hand the lines to a friend and say "wanna try"? You may even convince some folks you meant to do it!!! Seriously...super radical, super kite!! Think kindly thoughts John A. (1995) It does the low 3 miles (however I've been able to do 1.5) and goes right upto 22 without any problem. I have had it up in winds of 15. It does all the radical moves I want without a problem. The spars will break if you get them stuck in a hole (what kind wouldn't?). I tended to overcontrol it to start. However I'm getting the feel of it now. I want to thank everyone who responded to this message. By far the majority of the responses were for the Stranger. I thought at first the review, in the Review FAQ by Keith Kidder, was a little overstated, but >From all the enthusiastic responses I received I see he was just one of the crowd of satisfied Stranger flyers. This kite also fits nicely into my budget. I will probably be posting some more questions after I receive my new Stranger. I can't wait to give it a fly.
