Hi, I have been following the thread on Peels and am now wondering if I should buy one. I am new to buggying, though not kiting, and am currently using 3 Super Speedwings to pull my new folding Lynn buggy. I have come to the conclusion that this is only suitable in high winds. Ideally I would like to buggy in most conditions. At this moment in time I am sure I lack technique, therefore my question is would something like a 5 m ultralight Peel be suitable purchase. I have read they are fairly easy to learn on, is this true. Alternatively how about a Quadrifiol. I realise there are 2 schools of thought, 2 lines versus 4 so is there a definitive answer for a begginer like me ? Any help would be very much appreciated. My personal recommendation for the use you describe would be something like a quad track four...Once you really have the feel for how the kite and buggy and pilot interact, then move up to the larger dual lines. Also realize the quads are probably better suited for more crowded beeches and the dual lines are better suited for more open areas...I really don't think a dual line kite is "better" for buggying than a quad or vice verca...I have both types in my bag for different conditions but do find the quads a little easier to fly and they are substantially less expensive. Don't get me wrong...I want a Peel and will have a Peel some day...after I feel completely comfortable with a little less power. Think Kindly Thoughts. What you use and where is down to the skill of the buggier. We fly Peels, up to 10Mtr in 300 ft x 300 ft squares at festivals...this also includes tricks etc, 360 degree turns and you can still perform this safely!!!! I really > don't think a dual line kite is "better" for buggying than a quad or vice > verca... I agree, but you must consider what you want to get out of your buggying? Don't waste mony on an expensive 4 liner with a view to buying and expensive two liner later. Buy one and learn how to make the most of it! Have a go with every kite you are considering before you part with any cash! regards -- Ian Meredith ********************* *British Buggy Club * *Fun On Three Wheels* ********************* = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
