It doesn't sound like my cup of tea. However, my flying freinds and I have considered a different idea. Get some ballons, blow them up, attach them to some stick or dowels, and stick them into the ground along the fligh path. Then, you could dive on the balloons. We have thought about using alternating colors, and trying a fast ground run hitting only one color. Or maybe set a few on the extreme edge of the wind envelope and see who can touch the farthest one. We have not tried this yet. And like many of our other 'neat' ideas, someone has probably already done it. But it does sound like fun. -- Pat Malone - compass computer solutions pat@compass.cscns.com (719)576-7900 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: 1 Apr 93 13:08:40 From: jason@ab20.larc.nasa.gov (Jason Austin) Message-ID: Organization: NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA Subject: Re: A different game In article compass@cscns.com (Rueben and spiff) writes: -> -> I have been reading about the 'game' of diving on or towards a freind -> while flying. It caught my eye because they were flying a Custom Sky Dart that looked exactly like the one I have. The had a set of targets of different point values and each kid took turns trying to knock them down. I think they were made out of cardboard, and you had to know it completely over to get the points. It looked rather easy for an experienced flyer, but set ups like you're talking about could make it more challenging. I think balloons may be hard to keep in one place on a windy day. -- Jason C.
