So, unexpectedly we had the opportunity to attend this fun event. The flying field is situated in Vanier Park, which has just breathe taking view of the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky's. The weather was sunny and warm with just a nice light breeze and fliers came from Washington, Oregon and the surrounding area. The beautiful single line kites filled the sky which added just the right touch to the kite festival. This was the first year they held a Sport Kite Competion and it was limited to Novice flier's, but it was well organized by the B.C. Kite flier's and supported by Genny and Eric Forsberg of the A.K.A. Anyway we had a great time meeting old friends and making many new one's.
