Hi all, In an advert for the 'Edge' it is said someting like 'use the 2 legs bridles for ballet and add the third one for team flying'. What is the effect of adding that intermediate bridle along the leading edge ? Ok, I use a tird leg in one of my kites, with the effect of getting rid of wing tips wobbeling, but except that, I didn't notice much things special about the way the kite flies. Good winds for 94 ! (and for the end of this year too :-) Philippe. -- Philippe Lepez (CP 125), | | Good kite Universite Libre de Bruxelles, | Email: plepez@ulb.ac.be | + Good wind 50 av. Since no one else answered, I thought I would. Basically, the third leg effectively stiffens the leading edge. The result is an a more precise kite when the wind comes up. Some feel that the kite is more responsive without the extra bridle leg and prefer to not use one when flying ballet. -- Marty Sasaki Harvard University Sasaki Kite Fabrications sasaki@noc.harvard.edu Network Services Division 26 Green Street 617-496-4320 10 Ware Street Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 Cambridge, MA 02138-4002 phone/fax: 617-522-8546 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
