We would like to point out that there are in fact over 40 kite groups in the U.K. and many of them have local events, much like the MKF, WHKF and NKG which were mentioned. So the list was far from complete. If you are visiting and want to know about what is going on and more about the larger events it would be best to contact the national organisation - The Kite Society of Great Britain. email on 100255.116@compuserve.com or snail us at P.O. So the list was far from complete. I did not say this was a full list. Representatives of The Midlands Kite Fliers, the Northern Kite Group and The White Horse Kite Fliers joined together to publish what was the best diary we have to date until the other 37+ groups join in if they wish. Will Jon Bloom join in with us or is he just going to continue his tradition of posting nasty negative messages? JB> If you are visiting and want to know about what is going on and JB> more about the larger events it would be best to contact the JB> national organisation This is not true. If you want to know of both large and small events it would *not* be best to contact the National Organisation! Many local club secretaries know what is going on about the larger events just as much, will know of all the events going on in their local area much more than Jon, AND can be easily contacted with a chance of getting a reply. Kiteflying needs all the help it can get to advertise events/new products/ groups etc, and for someone to put all their energy into a moaning message instead of doing something positive is a very great shame. We will continue to post calenders on a regular basis, unless lots of people think it is futile to do so. So the list was far from complete. Now who's being peurile, Jon. At least we put up a posting, and not sulking in the corner - and for your information ALL major events were listed - as in "kiteflier". Flamed again, Jon, now try talking to us and we could all do something together for the good of the sport, instead of this stupid bickering. Christ man, I can feel for you - only 40 odd replies to your request to feedback for the next Conference location is totally disheartening, and to see more people than that trying to stab you in the back! come on Jon, for you two to run KSGB alone is no laughing matter, stop fighting some help of the port side, life's too short. ...
