Subject: 1942 Military Box Kites


I have a 1942 Military Box Kite.  It has an Alum.frame with bright orange
fabric.  Includes a waxed tube to hold kite.  Kite was carried by pilots
in WWII.  Downed pilots would attch transmitter wire to box kite and then
fly the kite.

The kite is like brand new in excel. cond..  Since I'm not a kitw flyer,
does it have any value?

Yes, definitely. An example in such good condition would almost certainly be
worth in excess of 100 dollars to the right buyer. At a festival I attended
last year, a similar thing in less than excellent condition went for about
60 pounds in auction, and that was considered a lowish price.
