Subject: 1919 Multi-Kite Altitude Record

In 1919, a German team set the world multi-kite altitude record of about 32,000" near Lindenburg, Germany. The kites they used were reportedly wood framed airfoils. 

Does anyone have any pictures of the kites they used? Any information on their project or the titles of any books about the project would also be appreciated.
