What follows is an update regarding prayer for Dr. David Wells. This comes
from Rev. David Green, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Beverly,
Massachussetts, a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian
Conference in which Dr. Wells holds ordained standing.

For those of you who did not receive the previous E-Mail note, Dr. Wells is
the author of "No Place for Truth: Whatever Happened to Evangelical Theology"
and a professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Please pray that Dr. Wells might continue in health so he may promote the
Reformed faith here in North America and worldwide.

Request for further information should be directed to Rev. Green at
"Dovedge@aol.com" since he is closer to the scene than me and will have more
information.

Dear DArrell:

Flash report on David Wells: Scott called his wife Jane last night and she
was overwhelmed with thanks for the Internet prayer chain.  She said that
David goes into the hospital tomorrow  to have an intestinal tube removed
which has enabled him to eat this past week for the first time in about two
months.  But this removal is critical and if his body doesn't react properly
(whatever that means exactly), he might face more surgery or worse.  

Please pass this along the list if you receive it Sun. night since it happens
Monday, 3/13.  Thanks to our God for his timless preparation of our hearts to
beseech him about matters in his kingdom which may happen before we have
prayed!
