The People's New Testament verse notes: ===================================== This add-on module contains The People's New Testament (PNT) by B. W. Johnson. Almost every verse in the New Testament has a short commentary. Book introductions and additional material from the PNT can be found in the Thompson Chain Reference (TCR) topical module. See TCR #9151 for an index to this material and TCR #9899 for notes on how the material was compiled. The opinions expressed in these verse notes are those of the commentator. As such, you may or may not agree with the positions taken. You're encouraged to "prove all things" and "hold fast that which is good." 1Th 5:21. Let the Scriptures be your guide in this matter. "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isa 8:20. You may make copies of this add-on module for your friends. Space Requirements: =================== This archive is split into 2 segments. In order to install it on your hard disk, you need at least 2,425K of free space. Installation Instructions: ======================= If you have an older copy of the PNT verse notes in your "Online Bible Ä" folder, be sure to remove them before installing these. 1) Insert the "PNT Disk 1/2" containing the first segment of the archive into your floppy disk drive and run it by double clicking on the "PNT.sea" file. 2) You will be prompted to install the archive contents in the "Online Bible Ä" folder. System 6 users may need to click the Drive button one or more times to switch to the hard drive that contains the "Online Bible Ä" folder and related files. Under system 7 the hard drive is selected by clicking on the Desktop button which in turn allows you to select and open the hard drive to be used. 3) Having positioned to the hard drive to be used, locate and open the "Online Bible Ä" folder by double-clicking on it. You should now be looking at the contents of the "Online Bible Ä" folder which will contain the "Online Bible" application along with other files and folders. You may now click on the Save button. Doing this will automatically create the PNT folder to hold the verse notes and will extract the appropriate files into them. 4) Since the archive is segmented, each floppy disk will be ejected after it's installed and you will be prompted for the disk containing the next segment. 5) Repeat step 4 until the final segment is saved. When the process is completed, you should find a PNT folder inside the "Online Bible Ä" folder containing the verse notes you just installed. Newer versions the Online Bible automatically scan the "Online Bible Ä" folder for note and topic sets that need to be opened. If you have an early version of the Online Bible, you'll need to initiate access to the PNT verse notes manually. This can be done from within the Online Bible as follows: 1) Select the PreferenceÉ command in the File menu. 2) Click on the Add Notes button in the Preferences dialog. 3) Locate and Open the file "PNT.ndx" in the "Online Bible Ä" folder. 4) Save the Preference settings.
